HELP! I broke an AIR bolt...
I broke the Air system bolts when I was putting the block off plates on.The system is tuned out and completely removed already, but what should I do? I need to either plug the hole an alternative way or get the bolts out so I can bolt down the block off plate...

Tap the hole with a 5/8 coarse tap, screw a $1 bolt into it and cut it off flush.
Not sure what you do about all the metal shavings if you do it without taking it off.

well I got the tap from ace hardware this morning and the corresponding bolt. It only took maybe 10 minutes once I had them to complete...really easy..Obviously the bolt is sticking out some, but for now it is plugged and not a problem. I don't want to risk cutting something else by sticking a saw of some sort in there so its good enough for now. I bought the smallest length I could which was 1 1/2" I believe... Have some pics for future reference... I figure someone else may need this.. sorry they're from my phone

I've gone that route but used a 12mm tap and 12mm bolts. I used thread sealant tape on the bolts but didn't cut the heads off. I just let the shavings fall down and blow out the exhaust.

I did mine before putting the manifolds back on, as long as there is no way the shavings could fall into an exhaust port. I don't want to be to blame for doing it on a car, I've never done it on the car.
When I did mine I had the tap, I bought the one bolt, screwed it into one maifold, cut it off, screwed what was left into the other one and cut it off.
It crossed my mind to screw the two smaller bolts in and cut them off too, grind it all down and after it rusted over it would look like a blank pad, like the cars that have the EGR pad thats not drilled.
But I figured who's looking, and I'm going to go with headers soon, which is what I have now.
Glad it worked out for you.
