Default Modifying a B&M Ripper

I recently purchased a b&m ripper and installed it. Then I start feeling like it's too high, I want a shorter stick. Can i just take it off and to a local shop and have an inch or so taken off and the stick threaded?

That would probably be the only way to modify it since you can't swap sticks..

A good machine shop can cut it down for you - I had it done to a Ripper of mine a few years back.

they can probably cut and thread it. It's really simple. I did a lot of threading at my job last year. Nothin to it.
