yeah it is ok to run with it open. Maybe better to leave it either open or closed all the time so the PCM gets used to it one way or the other.

I used to think that too until I dynoed uncapped, then capped, and then uncapped a few times. The mixture on the wideband was consistant even doing it back to back to back with no learning time in between. The MAF sensor seems to do it's job well in this regard.

Had my cutout on for about a year and a half, only closed it twice. Never had a problem with it, other than it sounding like a truck just crusing around but man at wot there not much like it my opinion. I finally just got tired of all the sound coming out underneath the car instead from the back.
