Default Anyone have LPP headers?

I've been looking at these for my '00 Z/28 and I was wondering if anyone has anything to say about them, there isn't a ton of info on them unlike kooks, qtp, arh... but their price is amazing.

Also, I'd like to get a catted y and it looks like they don't offer one yet. Any recommendations for one that will fit up good to the headers?

Thanks

My car has XS headers on it, which are apparently an early version of the LPP's. I can't comment on the installation since they were on the car when i bought them, but they seem to perform well and I don't have any fitment issues or leaky flanges.

My brother just installed his LPP headers on his '02 SS this weekend. I'm sure he will be able to comment on the installation later. His screen name is greg_74 if you want to PM him about it.

I have them too i just put them in last weekend they went in very easy only had two problems first on the driver side there is some extra metal coming off the K-member make sure to grind that down the header hits it and vibrates real bad i didnt and now i have to figure out how to cut it with out taken off the header and you will need msd wires to one of the plugs had trouble fiting it was siting right on the header. other then that i love them fit great looked great only took me 7 hours by myself in my drive way.

A couple friends and I install my LPP's this weekend. It took a little longer than expected with a lift but it was my and another friends first time installing headers on an LS1 and we had the help of someone else. Overall I'm happy with them. They look great on there and sound good. I have the SLP dual/dual muffler with CME right now and it sounds pretty good with them. Not too loud at idle or cruising down the highway but it really opens up when you get on it. I would recommend the LPP's. As far as the Y pipe, a catted TSP Y would probably work. They are adjustable and fit other brands. I would check with them to see if it would fit for sure though. I didn't take too many pictures during install (I should have since it was on a lift) but I snapped a couple and will take a couple more tomorrow and post them up.

Thanks for the info guys.

I'm actually looking for a stainless catted Y, there's too much salt on the roads up here in MA... I'd like to keep it all stainless so I won't be replacing it in two years

Yep just put them on greg's car this weekend, overall I thought the fit was very good and they were not that bad to put on.
I didn't think it took that long to do it, after all it was out first time installing them on a LS1 so I am sure when I put mine on we can cut off a hour or so. I think it took about 6 hours to install them. Could of been faster but had a few things hold us up, like the dipstick did not want to come out the oil pan, and the #8 spark plug was a pain to get back in with the headers.
Other then that I would highly recomend them, wish I bought the LPP instead

I installed them on my 99 Silverado 2 weeks ago and they are amazing! I was super impressed with the quality and fitment, on my truck I had everything done start to finish in 3.5 hours. Someday i'll replace my pacesetters with LPP's.

Just did mine today. Took about 6 hours to do myself. It was my 3rd time doing this so i knew what to expect. The drivers side was a pain in the ***. Passenger side was cake. The drivers side header was hitting the motor mount and wouldnt move enough to get the bolts in but finally got them in. They do look perdy.

Yeah really expensive. I've got the feeling I won't be able to pass emissions with no cats.

I'll have to ask around.

Bought 'em. Tried to install them, driver's side header rested against the motor mount so badly that the bolt holes didn't line up. Returned them, got charged 15% restocking fee. Bought ARHs, fit perfectly.

Funny, when I contacted LPP about the problem, I was told that they'd never heard of such a problem. Yet, I keep seeing more and more posts on here from folks having the exact same problem.

Yeah, I think that's the way to go as of now.

If LPP comes out with a catted y & header package that is good in the future, and fixes this fitment problem I won't have an issue buying their product though.

I've got a few months before I'm going to buy the headers anyways, just doing research.
