Default Damn intake broke!

well for the second straight time i got a LS6 intake that i receive broken . the plastic piece where the brake booster hose connects to....... must be from the shipped or whatever but i need a way to fix it is there some kind of very strong bonding glue or epoxy that i can use to glue it back to the intake?? thanks everyone

why are you buying a LS6 intake? according to your sig, your 99 already has one and your 02 came with one from the factory.

I just added it to my sig when it was on order, the sigs not important, the broken intake in my house is..... so any idea guys?

i have heard of plastic welding. i dont know if anyone local to you has that service though. i dont know if i would trust epoxies, but f'in JBweld that ****. j/k. good luck.

there is a plastic weld that i have seen i think its like an epoxy.
go brouse that section at a parts store and u should find it
i think its called plasiweld or some thing like that.

JB Weld is going to be your best bet. It is found at AutoZone....

That whole piece circled in red broke off. but luckily i still got the broken piece. tomorrow ill go to the store and see if they got jb weld, even though never heard of it before. thanks for the replys

JB Weld works wonders. And i had a feelign that you broke the nipple off the MAP sensor

jb weld will fix that fine, all it is is a vacuum connection

thanks. correct me if im wrong but if that part had a vaccum leak my brakes wouldnt work right? last time i swore i had a leak from the same exact place and pushing the brakes down felt like i was pushin down on a rock. it didnt wanna even do down at all...im guessing becuase it has something to do with the brake booster?

I'd sleeve it with a piece of that thin-wall brass tubing you see at any hobby shop, and epoxy the 3 pieces together.

screw jb weld ****...go to home depot or menards and ask them what would be the best epoxy for it...

yeah i dont know if i would use jb weld. i would go for something designed for plastic composites.

use some jb weld, you know how it says people have repaired cracked blocks with them?

i litterally filled a cracked coolant port in an aluminum 4cylinder block with some on my old drift motor, it held up for a year to my knowledge i sold the engine to get an ls1 and its still holding up lol

Either JB-Weld or Devcon steel putty is what I would use. There are all sorts of good epoxies out there. You can look on Devcon's website and they have several epoxies that will work great, just find the correct one.

Instead of fixing it, pull your intake, take that whole piece out (as you can see, it's separate from the intake) and put your stock one in the new intake.

use the one from the back of the ls1 intake they should be the same dont chance it breaking with jb weld or epoxy
