Hey just curious is the 5.3L. oil pan the same as the f-body LS1 oil pan? I've seen a few come and go and can't tell a difference I mean as far as clearances go? I know the LS2 and various corvette pans won't work with the fbody k-members, or atleast I assume they won't. Anyway, any clarification would be helpful

The F-Body and truck oil pans are not the same. Check out this thread - it has pictures of most of the GM oil pans for the LS1-style engine:
