Default AIR CHECK VALVES

Ok I replaced my air check valves and did the restrictor plate mod. I still have the damn ticking noise. I pulled off the tubes and I can feel exhaust coming thru the valves. They are brand new so what gives...

Any help will be appreciated

What kind of headers did you install? It is not uncommon to hear a ticking sound with long tube headers as the cylinder fires. What you may be hearing is in fact the pulse hitting the bottom of the primary near the ground. I can still hear mine do it 20K miles later. Nothing you can do about it if that's what you hear. Have you checked/examined the manifold gaskets to see if they're leaking? Make sure no leaks there and if not, I'd bet you're hearing the primary.

AIR mod page

Just remove the AIR system and see if the problem goes away. If it does then probelm solved, if it doesn't then it never was the AIR system and you have done some of your first free mods(weight reduction at least)
