Default Air Lid Clips

So my air lid clips will not stay on. And now, one will not even hold at all. What are people doing with this? It's an SLP lid.

the lid has to be on the inside of the lower air box edge if that makes sense it wont stay locked down if the lid isnt on the inside of that forward edge

I had to modify the back 4 prongs so they would slide deeper into their slots , make sure the front lip is inside the air box and the outside edges of the lid itself are on the outside of the air box , push hard as **** and clip it , it also helps to undo maf and bellow , clip lid and then put them back on.

I'll have to double check the lid. But I think it's fine.

You have to put the lid on right. Then the clips stay down.

put the lid on correctly and they will stay on. the center needs to be on the inside of the bottom part of the raditor shroud. if its on the outside they will pop off.

Hey op can you take a pic or vid of what the area looks like, I remember it being a bitch trying to get the lid all the way on the maf sinc the fitment was so tight. you can also try like suggested above to cut the back pieces a bit to help them sit in lower.

Ok I don't think mine's on there right. The dumb thing is, the air box is just as wide as the bottom part. They are sitting on top of each other. So does it need to get inside the stock bottom area the filter is in? Or does the box go around it?

I had the same problem on a lid I just got. I put a bungee cord on each side and it doesn't pop the clip any more. Looks kinda ghetto but it's functional.

lol I did the same thing but on my true duals hanger. I bought them used and they would hit the floor board on the pass side. So I got a buddy to get under the car and push them over about an inch with his legs while I strapped it down with a bungee cord. Has not hit once since. What would men do without bungee cords and duct tape?

I had a small nitrous/dyno incident that removed one of my clips. I drilled a couple of tiny holes and ran a zip tie through them.
