fast intake sits to low
do all fast intakes sit to low? with my lower part of the manifold sitting on the heads you can see 1/8 of the bottom port of the head!!! is this common?
I checked my heads (edelbrock rpm xt) and they have the same port opening
height as the factory heads sa it has to be the intake. Can you shim it up with gaskets between the intake and the head?

I have heard people have had this problem with the Edelbrock heads. There was a quite long thread about it a while back. I would tell you to use the search function but that is now worthless on this site...

I went back out to the shop and decided to check the dowel pins under the heads and found they were loose in the edelbrock heads. I pulled the heads
inwards/up and retightened and now the intake looks pretty close. So It looks like it is due to the dowl pins not fitting the heads very well. I'll
have to look closer to see if it is the dowls our the heads causing the poor fit
