Default reparing over-pored tb

problem 1: so the guy who ported my tb over did it and now i'm getting codes for high-idle (around 700rpms idling in gear vice 500rpms before the portwork) and lean codes on both banks.

solution: what i want to do is lay down some kind of material like bondo or jb weld onto the circumference of the tb bore where the blade usually sits and sand it down until the blade and the bore match, thereby correcting the overport.

question 1: do you think this will work?

question 2: what kind of compound should i use?

i would not glue anything by the blade. it wont stick. if anything, fill in the hole in the blade. that will probably help. then adjusted the set screw to close the blade more. if that doesnt work. get a new TB.

I would not put anything on the t-body... if it happens to come loose, it will be ingested by the engine, possibly damaging other parts.

Start over with a fresh one.

If you want one ported correctly, let me know. Now doing them on a CNC machine.

yep, as mentiioned, dont put anything in there, heat, cold, vibration ,etc it will come out and end up somewhere you dont want it to be. Dont fill in the hole in the blade either, your just going to get the same results....Get your money back pronto!!

Take the blade out and take it to a local welding shop and get em to tack the bleed hole closed. If that doesnt do the job on idling then start over with another TB.
