Default LPP Race Headers

I have a 2000 SS with just an SLP lid. Ive got an LS6 intake on the way as well which will delete my EGR. I am in the market for new headers and the LPPs look nice and are a good price. Only problem is they are strictly race headers which I think means no hookups for any emissions sensors. Am I correct? If this is true, is it possible to get a tune to wipe out all of the unused emissions components? (EGR/AIR/O2/ etc.) Once all this is done should the car pass emissions with just an OBD plug in? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are correct on all of it. Race headers will make you AIR useless. It can be tuned out. If your state is like here(IL) and they just hook up the tester to the OBDII port you will be fine. Just make sure you drive the car at least 2 weeks after having it tuned before you take it to get tested. There are still certain checks the ecm needs to perform before it will pass, and a couple of them require some descent run time.

Im in Missouri and they do the same thing. It actually worked out great that im getting the LS6 intake b/c the EGR will need to be blocked off anyway. Is there anything I need to buy extra after the headers and LS6 intake?

A Ypipe that fits and maybe front O2 sensor extentions if the stock ones aren't long enough.

You will need extentions, 24" ones. Or the other route is to buy two new o2 sensors. Bosch part number 13111 Corvette rear o2's. The pigtail is plenty long and eliminates the need for extentions. This is the route I am going becuase 1. I don't feel like trying to get the old ones out and 2. the car has 75k on it and might as well replace them if I have to take them out. This route is about $100 more and you can get the parts at autozone or advanced or whatever is closest to you.
