Default How Much Louder Would It Get?? DMH Cutout..

I am currently running Kooks 1 3/4 Lt's > Kooks Catted-y > GMMG > CME.
There are times that I would like the car to be louder. After reading all the good reviews about DMH cutout, I was thinking about getting one put on. It would be installed on the I-pipe. How much louder would the car get and would it be worth it? I love the way it sounds now but would like to be able to open it up once in a while. Thanks

Hopefully it will be. I think the cats will give it that deep tone..

i say add cats and the cutout. that way you get quiet "er" when closed and loud as ***** when open. best of both worlds

I'm thinking of just running the cutout on my factory exhaust...

I had a buddy with a T/A who had headers and a similar setup to what you are describing. His car was freaking DOCILE when closed, but you could be standing next to it when he opened them and it was like you stepped onto the drag strip (H/C helped this too of course).

I say go for it.

If you want a loud sound that isn't all raspy and gross sounding, don't put a single cutout in the I. Been there, done that, it sounded like ****

If you want loud and good sounding, throw two cutouts on there before your Y

My current setup isn't quiet at all. Even with the cats the GMMG is still pretty loud..

I was thinking about doing dual cutout on the y, but I don't know if there will be enough room with the cats on the Y. The cutout would still be after the cats.
