Default Different types of X-Pipes for a true dual setup.

I have seen lots of threads discussing whats the best from a x-pipe, y-pipe, and h-pipe. But I haven't seen any threads on the different types and different brands of x-pipes. I am going to have my buddy custom make me a true dual setup, and we are having a bit of a argument over what type of x-pipe to use. Is there a reasonably priced one that you guys know works very well? I like the Magnaflow one that is pictured below, but he claims its a POS. He seems to believe that the point where the two merge should be very small, so that flow isn't disturbed.

What about something like this one?

Dr. Gas X-pipe here and seems to work just fine. Heard a lot of good things about them. The sound is great with the Pro-Flow twisters on my duals.

Here's the best representative picture I could find that looks like mine

I have looked at that Dr Gas one. Its a little over $200 right? It looks similar to one of the stainless steel ones sold at summit for under $200, but it comes with 4 extra pieces of piping that slip in.

Just found this link on google. Looks like it wouldn't be too hard for a DIY guy to fab up. I wouldn't use those mufflers though.

That system in that link is just built wrong. The pipes behind the x are way too far apart. They are under the lowest part of the car. You want to keep them close together and they will tuck up in the tunnel. Thats right, even on the driver side with torque arm and fuel lines, the floorpan rolls up and you can get the top portion of the pipe in there and the whole things tucks and looks much better. If you use 2.5" pipe you can just about get the whole top half of the pipe up there.

Well, I originally was planning on using 3.5" for everything, but decided to stick with 3" for clearance issues. I wouldn't use 2.5" .
Would you care to show us some pictures of how you would route it?
