Default Backpressure

I'm wondering if your backpressure is off can it lead to a decrease in horsepower??

My Y pipe and I pipe was welded but I was under the car today and noticed that the I pipe and Y pipe just slide back and forth..

The weld broke.. Ive been noticing that the car seems sluggish.. Just wondering..

I dont know much about backpressure..

That **** is a myth, you don't need backpressure what so ever. I went faster with my dual cut outs open.

its not a back pressure issue, but a scavenging issue.

Have the muffler shop expand the Y to slip over the I and use a band clamp. Will make it much easier to work on when you exhaust is in the way. Somebody will appreciate it someday....

i originally had true duals dumped at the axle with no mufflers, just 3 inch piping to an x pipe all the way back. i just put on some flowmaster chubbies on it. Forget about the amazing sound, the torque thats available off the line is significant enough fo me to be very happy with my purchase.

backpressure is not a myth, it has changed names, meaning's and i think it even had a face lift. it is present in what ever name it is called. its all about flow, (and not from mel's diner) throught you combination of intake, engine and exhaust . a break in the flow will disrupt that. just get it fixed right, and you should have no problems.
