Cool New Manifold (Slide Plate)

This is a slide plate manifold that has been under developement for a few months over here (Australia)

It is currnetly being tested on an SS UTE that has a 228/228 112 comp cam and ported heads .
Just the manifold change with no additional tuning picked up an additional 36 rwhp....and it now idles like a stocker. It is much more responsive too

Sorry about the size of the piccis..

Do you guys do away with the MAF on everything you work on over there? :p

That's a cool intake but, I still like my MAF.

What about dust and debris getting in the motor?

Hmmm... individual throttle bodies, ey?

How about air filters? Or is this a race only application?

The carbon fiber is pure sex.

To answer you questions.

Yes most tuners do toss the MAF on anything with a cam bigger than 224. They run in Speed Density Mode.

It will have an air box cover that goes over the entire manifold.
This will have provision foe those who wish to remain with a MAF or for those who want as much air as they can fit you can have an air intake that goes right across infront of the radiator with an air filter that spans that width. (I currently run a CAI similar to that but flows straight into a TB).

Yes it does scream

To get one contact mark@powertorqueengines.com

The throttle plate works by the normal accelerator cable that is attatched to a pulley and moves a plate that has intake holes in it matched to the inlet port.

I'm not sure how priceing will work for USA yet but for a guide, it costs $6,000.00 AUD + 10 % Tax of course you guys wont pay the tax. And with the current exchange rate of $1 au = 0.75c US you are up for $4,500.00 = shipping and any duties you guys might have.

It's not cheap but it would be the finest manifold made for an LS1/6 motor.
It drives soooo nice really calms a big cam down, has throttle response matched by no other manifold and has no restrictions in front of your inlet ports so what ever they flow is what they flow no % loss

It will be a big ask to pay the extra for this over the F.A.S.T. intake but 12 are already sold and it's only just been released.

$4,500 You better spend one hella lot on a motor to justify a $4,500 manifold on a street car.

You guys have a dyno chart on that yet?

$4500?! You can get a supercharger for that much. Its pretty, but not as pretty as that Starr Performance big Whipple charger setup for the LS1.
