Default Cutout people inside.(cutout Q's.)

I have FLP headers W/ORP's right now.I want to add a cutout/cutout's but cant make up my mind on which way to go. Should I go with two cutout's in place of the ORP's or should I go with one big cut out on the "I" pipe? I want the lightest setup, most power, and best sound. I'd like to hear everyones opinion on this. THANX in advance.

I run Mufflex OR pipes w/stock exh. manifolds, LG Motorsports Y, SLP factory Dual-Dual exh., w/3" Flo-tech cut-out cut into the int. pipe under pass. side rear seat foot pan at the track. It sounds excellent, gives me consistent low 12.30's @ 110+ w/stock heads and cam, 3.23's w/Vig 3200. Consistent 1.67 sixty's w/8.5x15-26" ET Drags.

I'm not sure if this is true, but I've heard that one side of the y-pipes exiting exhaust sort of acts like a vacuum for the other side. Like the exhaust from the left side pulls the exhaust from the right side. Hearing this, my best bet would be to put a single cutout in the I-pipe. That's what I did and I gain a lot of power when it's opened.

Wow, that interesting,I think I can see how that could be true, I think I'm leaning towards more of a single cutout right now but I'll see If some one posts any good points of having dual cut out's.

My old cutout on totally stock exhaust was worth about .10et and .50mph at the strip. It is not going to be a real big improvement.

I like a single cutout in the I-pipe. My heads/cam car picked up 28 RWHP on the dyno (stock muffler.)

DAM!, thats alot of HP for a cutout from what I've seen,But I do believe it, I'll be happy if I can get a gain of around 8 HP from a cutgout. I think I'll go with a single cut out for good flow and to reduce as much weight as possible, even if It's only ten pounds more for the extra cutout and electric valve.

I only have a single cut-out, but am looking for another one, hell why not, the more the better.

I have the FLP dual cutout set-up. I picked up 18hp and 26ft lbs of torque with them open. I run the factory exhaust on the car, so it may contribute to the large gain. but still none the less it's a gain and it sounds like a pro stock car at the track, especially on the gas....... The dyno gain is on motor only, didn't take the time to dyno with the gas opened and closed for gains there.

Another vote for single cut out in the 'I' pipe.
