I thought the PCV valve went after the can and before the intake manifold, not before the can?

I ended up mounting my Catch can (a different brand) under the passenger side headlight, since I still have the EGR.
But I can drain it without poping the hood.

Mine is PCV to catch can.

i never heard of that.... do you have a pic? cause you cant go moving the pcv valve anywhere since its grounded to the coolant pipe

That's exactly my point, I always thought you just kept the PCV valve where it sits from the factory

Looks good.

Anyone who clicks on the pictures will see the name of the catch can, then google is your friend, and isn't google a sponsor of this site?

I think it would be more effective behind the pcv as it would catch all the contaminents instead of them hitting a wall at the pcv. It would still keep your intake cleaner, I would think; but that build up would still be at the pcv. From what I've been told, it's a heat sink and not a ground. To change it you would just extend the hose from behind the pcv and connect it to the inlet of your can. Then just run the hose from the outlet of the can to your pcv which runs on to the vacum source at the intake. Looks nice! Hope this helps!

After the can and before the intake would be better in my opinion so the valve would see less gunk. I have the same can as you do. I think the site has install docs right?

i totally agree...just like posting about a bad part or service from a sponsor...why shouldnt other people be informed...

I had to refresh my memory on the install and went to their website. How you have it configured is how they explain to install it. I just hate that loop around the hose has to make to get to the can from the valve.
