Question LT1 Catback on an LS1

What are the major diffferences in the 2 engines cat-back design....I ask because I have a Hooker CatBack for LT1...but I am going to run Open Headers....I want to put the Catback on my LS1 TA. I was going to just sell it for the price I paid, and buy the LS1 Catback....but wanted to find out how much different could they be?? Could an exhuast shop fab it up and still ahve 3" piping all the way back??

I 96-97 catback will fit any 98-02 car. The only difference is the rear hanger on the driver side. You can change it out to a 97 style or just rig something. Since you are probably not useing it with your dual set-up just swap it over too.

no way, it wont fit.. there are complex design distinctions between the two motors exhaust systems. if you put an LT1 catback on an LS1 car, it will explode.

96-97 LT1 stuff goes right on.

I think the 93-95 stuff is different, like the part before the axle is shorter?
