Borla XR-1's with TSP TD's...I would like to remove my bullet mufflers and replace them with Borla XR-1 mufflers to quiet it down some. Is this swap doable? Will I need to do any modification to my TD system to get them to tuck up nicely?

I am going to be driving the car everyday and I do not like looking over my shoulder to watch for cops.

If anyone has done this or heard a similar system or just heard an XR-1, are these mufflers quiet? opinions?

I used to have one XR1 on my car and I liked it but it was too big for me to fit my cutout on so I had to take it off. With that being said I think it will only work if you put them before the tips because they will not fit before the axle.

I do not have cut outs. Was that your only reason for clearance issues?

No personal experience with them, but from pictures they look quite a bit bigger than bullets. Spiral flows will fit and are quieter than bullets

No clearance issue but an issue of no room because the borla was to big to put a cutout and keep the borla on the i-pipe.

ive seen one xr1 on a car after the ypipe and then dumped. im sure its doable, just gotta get in there and do some fabrication!

do you think it would be possible to go over the axles and dump em out the bumper?

I think it could work if you sat the muffler sideways underneath the bumper. There would be some crazy bends, but it should turn out ok.
