Question P&P Aluminum Intake?

Is is possible to port and polish an aluminum intake mainfold? If so what would be ported on the intake?

Also could the intake opening be milled to fit a bigger TB?

You could port it out, but I don't know what gains could be had. Most of the port work would be in the runner immediately adjacent to the gasket mating surface, but if it's not poorly cast with a lot of casting flash, etc., I can't see it doing much. Whether or not you could open the TB opening to a larger size would depend on how much material is there to remove. Most aluminum intakes have an 85MM TB opening and I know from experience that going from 85-90MM probably won't do much. I ported my FAST 78 to an 85MM and I probably have 98% of the performance of a 90MM intake.
