My car has full exhaust, i have the rear o2's tuned out so i dont have a check engine light on thats all, cars drives perfect and sounds great, but once and awhile when im slowing down to a stop and i leave it in like 2nd gear, with my foot off the gas pedal it only happened less then a hand full of times, it made a loud pop, almost like a back fire.... is my car safe to run if it does this? Thanks!

Yeah, not a problem at all! Mine does that and all I have is the LM1 cat-back! Lol, sometimes I think it's kinda fun making all that noise, but mine will pop coming down from anything above 4000 RPM. No biggie!

it's not a raspy sound. It reminds me of a old Pick up LOL

Your good, I only have a gmmg cat back and it does it to me all the time, everytime I let off the gas and push in the clutch it will pop. But I think I need a tune or something.

As long as it is not severe backfires under crusing conditions, you don't have a thing to worry about. Every car I have driven (with exhaust) will pop and crackle and make all kinds of noises when engine braking.

well it makes the general engine breaking normal noise but this was like a gun shot!

Friend had a car once that would do the same thing. under decel it would just BANG like a shotgun going off. his was caused by an exhaust leak, so you might check over your system just to make sure you dont haev any leaks anywhere.

Another buddy also had the same issue, his turned out ot be a severly smashed exhaust pipe....suprised the motor would even run LOL
