Default Hey im new to this whole LS1 thing

Hey guys. I just wanna start off by sayin that I used to be a DSM nut, but an now obsessed with the LS1. The raw power from 1st all the way to 5th is amazing. Anyhow, I currently have a 3 inch cat back exhaust system by Borla. It sounds aight, but Im gonna get full length headers and hopefully switch over to a SLP loudmouth or somethin. I see GMMG all the time on here, what kind of system is that and where can I check it out? Thanks a lot. PEACE

I would not switch from Borla to the Loudmouth or GMMG. The GMMG sounds better, but not an additional $700 over the $600 of the Borla. I loved my Loudmouth, but the rasp got aggravating with headers.

Welcome! You have come to the right place. It's a mater of whether or not you will dump your cats when you go to the headers; many people do. I ran a Loudmouth with headers and no cats, and it's crazy loud while you are going through the gears, although not bad cruising the highway. Most can't tolerated it. Borla is a fine system, I say keep it. In fact, I modified my Loudmouth with a Borla muffler.
