Thumbs up Kool Blue or K&N??

Ok guys, I am getting the Clear TSP Air Lid, Is that a good Choice for a Clear Lid?
SEcondly, i want to go with a blue and chrome scheme under the hood. The Kool Blue air filter is Blue. Right now I have the K&N. Is there going to be any differnece betweent he two as far as H.P. and gas Mileage? With the K&N i gained about 1 mpg more, h.p. was unknown.
Thanks.

You will see no gain switching b/t the two. Yes you chose one of the best lids on the market. If you are going for the blue/chrome scheme under the hood you should go for the Kool Blue one. Good Luck man.

I figure i am going to have to get a new air filter anyways, due to my Free Ram Air Mod, my filter is getting pretty dark on the bottom.

Go with the cool blue. Your not gonna see a difference in the two as far as hp. The cool blue will look good with your color scheme.

Kool Blue ... K&N Red ... Lime Green ... Titty Pink ...

They all flow bout the same. Get a black lid and you won't need to worry about the color of the oil any of them use on the filter.

I think the K&N fits better with some lids and the Holley with others. Try using a Holley with an MTI lid. I've heard it doesn't work so well. I know my K&N fits great with my MTI lid.

If you already have a K&N just get some Cool Blue oil and once you clean the K&N re-oil it with the blue oil.

No reason that shouldn't work.

The TSP Site has the Holley Filter, you can just order it with your lid.

Actually, I've heard exactly the opposite. I've heard the K&N's have fitting issues, so that's why I went with the Holley for my MTI lid. Oh well, if it works for both of us, that's all that matters
