Default Plug and wire change...

Sucked, but it's done. Here is the pictures of what I pulled and what I installed. Thank you 99blancoss for the materials. Please feel free to let me know what these plugs look like and how my engine is running. Someone said my car is running hot, but it's running at 220 in traffic according to the Diagnostic.

Add some hi temp antiseize to the plug threads and some dielectric grease on the top of the plugs, That will help with the broken wires and removing the plugs next time. How many miles on those old plugs? Do you run any octane booster?

I'm hoping I don't have those problem again since I got rid of the heat shields. I do run octane booster and I figured that's what it was, but I thought they turned black when you ran octane booster. Thanks for the info though I'll definately slip some grease on those plugs next time though. By the way the car has 80,000 miles on it so I figured it was about time for a plug and wire change, I didn't know how long ago they had been changed. It seems they were the stock AC Delco plugs.

I would stop adding octane booster to the gas. Thats the red on the old plugs.

They last longer so you dont need to change them as often.

Also I use di-electric grease on the terminals when I'm assmembling so you might not need to use any at all, but it won't hurt if you do.

I went with the Iridiums because I don't enjoy changing the plugs out. I know that the TR55's would have done a great job, but I didn't mind paying the extra $50 bucks if I knew I was getting some better plugs.
