Hey, Im currently building up my 2000 Z28. I plan on staying N/A, Im going with trick flow heads, and the 228R cam, as or right now I plan on staying with the stock displacement. whats better a 90/90 (ported?) or a 92/92 (ported?) for my application? thanks

a stock 90/90 will be plenty for your cam..

if you want room to grow (larger cam) then go with a stock 92..

a ported 90 is better than a stock 92... ported 92 is obviously better than a ported 90..

that cam wont need to breath enough for a ported 90 though IMO... max i could see is 3-4 hp.... not worth the 300 bucks to me..

90/90 just cause you can find a used one for some decent coin. Not like the 92 is THAT much overkill for your setup, cause it would work fine, but why drop that much on a new intake when a used 90 will be suffiecent.

Id look for a 92 used or if you have the coin the 96/96 is a nice combo.

The 92s had some better features than the 90 like threaded bosses in the throttle body bolt holes. Not a big difference but something to keep in mind.

hey I just searched vengance and all I saw was the 92, and 102mm intakes. Im sure that 102 is a bit too much for what Im doing.

I'm pretty sure that the 102 is designed for LS2 heads.

Just remember that if you buy a 92mm, you can not send it to Vengeance to have it ported.

has anyone seen results from the 96 setup before they recommend it over a 90 or 92...i would get the 90 because it can be had for cheaper...the opening on the 90 can be taken to 92 easily with plenty of material left...it is just marketing

Yep. Can't wait to see what L92's can do now with a decent IM.
