home ported my TB i have a few ?'s now
ok few questions, i ported my TB and it feels good. but my fuel trims went from
-1.56 to positive .78 and my o2 numbers went from about 885 to about 900 now is this normal? i ported and polished the inside of it all out i just wanna make sure thats the extent of it lol i painted it too. seem that it gets stuck when closing but i think there was garbage in the way it doesnt do ti any more. any tips or advice on this? or does that sound right?

Sounds like you may have introduced an air leak somewhere. Maybe the TB isn't sealing to the bellows or to the intake manifold. Somehow some outside air that is not being metered by the MAF is getting into the intake. Did you make sure that the O-ring gasket between the TB and the intake manifold was there when you reinstalled the TB? You didn't port anywhere after the butterfly valve, I hope.

no i didnt, everything seems to be fine. i talked to one of the guys at bauer and he said thats common, fuel trims lean up and dumpin more gas and dump more in at WOT. i got a new tune and im gonna check it out, like i said everything is sealed and its not idling rough at all nice and smooth. with that better explaination does that sound right now?

Leaner where? At idle? Or low TPS settings? That makes sense because the TB will allow more air thru the TB at low throttle settings after it’s ported. The ECU will then account for that in open loop mode, when you get to WOT the tables will be skewed to add more fuel because of the lean low end condition. That and the fact that the motor is now seeing more air at WOT is good

ok i just wanted to make sure that is normal, im getting it tuned today, actually as we speak. if i did have a leak or acc port it too far woudnt the idle be rough? cause i had a leak before and it was idling low, just let me know so i dont worry about it lol

My trims move around like that day-to-day.
Not to mention cell-to-cell. And 15mV on
the O2s is in the noise as well.
The only places you could get a mixture-
affecting leak is past the throttle shaft
(miniscule), the IAC servo (gasket) and
the PCV (forget to put back). The last
would be a pretty strong vacuum leak and
could mess up idle. But I don't think there
is any of that going on, it all looks like plain
variability and probably is more about the
weather.
