Default LT's and burning coolant?

I just got a set of Hookers, and now I'm burning coolant, no smoke in exhaust, but when I get out of my car it smells like coolant. I just topped it off with about a quart of the oprange stuff today. Will see how far it has gone down tomorrow.

ummm. headers alone shouldnt cause to you to burn coolant. any chance that its leaking onto the headers and burning off like that?

I wouldn't think so either, but I'm going to wait till tomorrow and see how far it's gone down.

When you installed the headers did you break off the water temp sensor on the front of the driver's side head? I snapped mine off trying to get my headers in, and its something a lot of people over look. Otherwise headers alone won't cause a coolant leak.

yeah i was thinking about the water sensor too. if you didnt break it, then make sure its not leaking from there. i had to remove the water sensor when i installed my friends headers on his nova. but ill bet the genIII block is different

Nope, checked the temp sensor this morning after driving, but the smell is much less noticeable after I topped it off.
