True Duals, dumped or out the back?
So i need to get myself a new exhaust system. Y pipe is banged up, and the way the guy did my exhaust out the back is just plain rediculous. So im gonna go ahead and change it out.
Ive been looking into true duals. Just not sure which setup to go with, and the car is a daily driver. So i wanna go with a set of mufflers that arent gonna be to loud to the point. It bothers me and i end up wanting to change them out. Now here's my questions...
Dumped?
Run them all the way out the back?
What mufflers?

I think they look better without tips too. I was just afraid of the noise though. If you want though I'm going to have a set of magnaflow cats I could sell you to help quiet it down a little bit.

forget the flowmasters. do dynomax bullets. I had slp long tubes with an x-pipe and dynomax bullets dumped. it sounded great and made damn good power for the mods that were done.

Dumped sounds great, just loud. You may get tired of it being a DD. I had dumped duals with 1 chambers before, it sounded sweet as hell. My car is a weekend driver, so I loved the loudness. Just too dusty for me. I say out the back with Powersticks, sweet thunders or Moroso spiral flows.

If your worried about sound level, I wouldnt recommend dumping before the axle, lol , I personaly have kooks LT,s and speedincs true dual kit 3" X-pipe kit with dynomax bullets ( lots of fabrication with this kit ). But I can say this, I have this on my lt1 ws6 and it sounds absolutley insane at w.o.t. but theres realy not a quiet point in ther rpm's when cruising , it realy is only quiet when theres minimal load on the engine at cruising speeds, hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, i also forgot to mention. I have CME right now, i could always run them out the back into a CME setup again or turn them down and tuck them up like you mentioned LS1Silverado05. Hmm, ill just have to think about this. Good thing is, im in no rush.

For all those saying bullets dumped seem to forget he didn't want anything really loud. I have longtubes, cats, magnaflow bullets over the axle and I like it-the only reason it is tolerable for a daily is because of the cats it used to be just bullets ending at the the axle. If you do end up going dumped some form of chambered muffler would be good, hooker, borla, magnaflow will all be tolerable at idle.

Thanks for the comments guys, and ive already made my mind up that i wanna run them out the back into the CME setup. Ive been looking at the Bassani True Dual system, pretty pricey but i think i may just go with it. Im not to sure on the muffler though, may change it out for some bullet style mufflers on each side, have it look similar to the SLP Powerflo with those 2 resonators in the back.
