Default sender in the water pump???

would it be possible to drill and tap the f-body water pump to put a water temp. sender for my electric fans in it... the flat spot on the top where the truck spout would be... but would it hit the propeller inside the pump? its ab 1-2 inches long

Why don't you put it in the plug on the passenger side cylinder head? If you don't know where it is, it's in the back. Siamesed cylinder heads ya know.

I've seen one case where somebody drilled and tapped a hole in the flat surface on the top face above and inboard of the thermostat.

I'd use the PCM fan controls, though.
