Default Help? running rich

I have a 98 Z. I gutted out my cats and put on o2 sims.
The car seems to run rich. It smells really bad.

Plus my engine is has a rattle in it. what happens to an engine when it runs rich?
is the rattle what you call knock. How can I fix my problems
help

autotap your car to get an better approximation of how rich you are running? what other mods do you have. gutting your cats will make the fume smell more noticilbe.

A six-pack of Bud says it's not running rich during normal operation (non-WOT.) That's just how they smell with an ORP or no cats. If your were running rich during closed loop operation (controlled by your O2 sensors) then you would get an SES light on your dash. If you car were failing to go into closed loop for any reason then you would have an SES light.
