Any of you guys have this combo? It will be mating with a magnaflow catback and I don't want any fitment issues. Let me know your thoughts!

Default Kooks Headers and Y-Pipe

I've got Kook's 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" Stepped Headers with their 4 " Y-Pipe hooked to a 4" Mufflex Single Outlet with Spintech muffler on my 02 Z-28 and the fit was awesome. Ground clearance is good and no problems with the y-pipe hitting the floor pans. Both Headers and Y-Pipe were Jet Hot Coated and they look beautiful.

I'm running Kooks 1 7/8" stepped to 2". 3.5" Collector, 3.5" ORY to 4" out to 4" intermediate pipe. Fits nice.

If you have a stock k member you have to do some cutting. I have the stepped race header and had to cut the tab off the side off the block and knotch both sides of the k memberthen take a hammer and hammer the firewall in some to get them to fit up on the drivers side was a pita. I also have a Iron block. If I had it to do over again I would have not done it. took me 2 days and had to pull the headers off 3 times to knotch the k member. If you have a stock k member I would question it seriously.

Hmm, I had no issues @ all. No notching or anything. Direct install. Maybe their fab guy is sluffin. I did have my trans out when I installed mine. I wouldn't think that would make a difference, but maybe.

I had the trans and the motor in it was a pita. The only other option is to unbolt the motor and jack it up then slide them up. With an Iron block and solid mounts it sucked lol . But they sound awesome. If your goal is to build the car and race then go for it. Just my expericence
