Default 408 true duals, H pipe

I've decided H pipe, under axle true duals. Question is since the 408 does pump more air than a 346 should I go 3" or 2 1/2?

I'm thinking 3"....

Thing is I HATE the rasp. I'm thinking this will get rid of it. My goal is deep smooth sound. Only thing I like about stangs is the sound. I want something similar.

Any ideas???

I would say definitely 3"+, I have full 3" TD's on just a regular 346and I gained power over a 3" Y and catback setup, you want to go at least as big if not bigger.
