Default magnaflow tip hanger question

Did you already have holes in your frame rails for your new hangers for the tips? I don't have them and the instructions say nothing about drilling them.

Yes. The holes are pre-existing. You should just have to slip the small pieces with the two threaded holes up into the frame on each side. I couldn't tell you why they wouldn't already be there?

Yours are there. Here are a couple of pics from the drivers side which should help you...slide the mounting hardward through the square window and get the threaded/pointed ends to face down through the holes.

Let me know how yours fits - mine is horrible and I'm going to have to have an exhaust shop cut it and weld it to fit better.

My magnaflow fits perfectly. A little tight in some areas, but no cutting should be required.

Mine went on fairly easy. The only thing I see wrong is my passenger tip sticks out about 1/2" further than my drivers. I might be getting some different tips anyway. But it looks good. Alot quieter than I thought it would be.

One side of my muffler hangs 3" lower than the other. One tip is over 2" farther out than the other, and both are at different angles. We fought with it for hours, and it fits very poorly.

Should be required? No, it shouldn't, but from my searching, it seems like a lot of people have to Sounds awesome though!

I'm sorry to hear you had trouble. To be honest, I paid a shop to install mine. He said he struggled a little, but he didn't cut anything. Every car is different so it doesn't shock me that you had to. Glad you like it! I love mine.
