It can be done but is not an easy task. Problem is your giving up so much bottom end to get the top end its not advisable in a daily driver.

I'll pm you with a little info.

why dont you try a nice head cam combo, keep the compression some what low and stack it all with a maggie ? Of course support mods too

stock cubes and 500 RWHP. It was being done 9 years ago with head/cam packages. But its gonna make a crappy daily driver.

I rememberthe first guy I ever spoke with when I wanted to mod my 1998 WS6. "DavetheRoofer" IIRC. Had a Morgan Motorsports Agrressor 500 H/C kit. Some where near 500 RWHP. He was in the 10's back then.

Crappy street car though, and not much has changed when doing it with stock cubes.

Do it right and stroke it.

It's funny how naive I was too in my pursuit of power. Power that SHOULD BE THERE lots of the time isn't...because it's an advertisement. I don't know of any head/cam package that yields 470-490 rwhp out of the box...that's why there are only a few guys with that magical 500 rwhp in a 346...

I'm not trying to be a douche, i'm just on the same voyage and it takes time and money and patience and money and testing different combo's and a damn good shop and did i mention money? You might get the power your looking for but it's very possible to take someone's word for it and the car suddenly turns into a burden to drive because you put a monster cam in with stock gears...

Another thing, a wise man once told me to upgrade from the rear of the car and work forward...if that's your car in your avatar i'm gonna stop talking now.

I would second the vote to go 383. My stock block is over 500HP but see my sig for what my car dyno'd in at the wheels and what I have done. I drive it to work a lot less than I use to. In checking around and getting some advice from some sponsors here I am about at the limit for a stock cubed block(maybe a big block down the road). Some rear end work and a built trans are in the future. I will say my SS still has decent street manners all being said. SpeedInc. did a great job with it!!(sponsor) And yes I have spent some $$ but on the other hand the car is a beast and I do enjoy it

Good Luck in your quest....

just by asking this question, there's no way you're going to get it done. very few have, and it has taken lots of time, and more money that an out-of-the-box package.
