Default After header install

Just trying to weed out all the problems after my header install . Got new check valves with restrictor plates sandwiched between gaskets and now i got one sound left to get rid of. It is a whirring/ticking sound during the drop in rpms after throttled to high rpms. Any ideas??

EGR, perhaps? What year's the car? Anytime I hear "whirring", it's usually EGR related.

are you sure it's not the AIR pump?
