alright so i'm about to get a full exhaust for my 01 ws6 and i was gonna get an intake too but idk... i might end up doing the free air mod that people do but i also noticed something. When i was looking under the hood i realized that where the "ram air" is, it's not straight thru, there are a couple metal plates forcing the air to go over then under them before it goes thru the filter. Has anyone cut that metal out? If so did u gain performance?

Ya, you can debaffle your hood for better flow.

well do u think i should save my $300 and not get the slp flowpac, and just debaffle the hood and do that free air mod thing?
