Hey there! I recently bought my 2001 Camaro SS and found it had an unusual (to me anyway) Cold Air kit installed on it by a previous owner. Its a "Volant" Cold Air, which kinda looks like those open ended K&N filters with a "box" surrounding it (See Pic)
Are these good filters/Cold Air's??? Since I haven't owned an LS1 before and haven't experienced what a "good" filtered car feels like I'm hoping you all have info.

Also, mine is dirty as hell... Do you think the K&N recharger/cleaner kits would work good on the Volant filters?? Any cheap way to clean these filters? Sorry if its kinda newbie!

yes the volant is just fine as far as filtering your air....
