Thinking of using one of these. did you have to modify anything and did it clear the hood? ive got a raptor hood, i believe it sits a tad higher than stock?
Would basically like to know your experiences with this style intake as i think its much better than composite, especially for the engine im putting together.
Thanks much, Sam

That is the exact reason I decided to go with a Victor Jr. That, and there is no threaded hole for the brake booster hose on the Super Victor, and the height.............

The vic jr wouldnt do me any good cuz if i was gonna put that on than id jus go with a 92 and port it. I need one that can flow for rpms up to 8500 and so on. My main concern is how it fits? i dont have a stock hood. i got a raptor ram air, not worried bout cutting under windsheild bezzle cuz i dont have wipers anyways.

If you don't have the windshield cowling it should fit pretty well. I bought an extra stock hood for $50 a while ago to, "clearance" for this to fit. It is black and my car is mystic teal, but it should look alright. More like one of those odd colored old school muscle cars with black hoods.

im currently planning on using it on a carb. turbo engine.
dont worry about the gaskets not being o-rings, sbc's and all kinds of other motors never came with oring grooves machined in the manifold.
and u can locate your fittings anywhere under the carb pad. drill and tap.
it will be hard to fit under the hood of a 4th gen fbody, the victor hr. is kind of tight and the super is way bigger all around.
