Default Guys with cat'ed Y-pipes

Where'd you buy it or did you have one fab'd up?

Just got my Hooker LT's this morning and looking for one of these as my area might have emissions soon. Its already in the next county.

Thanks

I'm having mine fab'd up friday and taking my TSP duals off. Pacesetter headers, magnaflow 59959 cats, flowmaster merge. Also having v-clamp welded on at the headers and after the merge. Magnaflow catback put on as well. I can't wait.

I bought my catted y from TSP high flow car sound converters. Then I had a local shop moddify the 2 pipes merging into a 4 inch flowmaster merger. Should add about 10wrhp.

You dont happen to have any pics under your car do you? B/c I just bought that y-pipe yesterday evening for mine.

Is it all welded up when it shows up or is there some adjustment in it?

Thanks for the reply's.

ill snap a picture and post it in a few minutes. the y pipe comes in pieces; the 2 cats themselves and then 4 or 5 pipes that need to be clamped or welded together. i had my headers/y pipe installed by a non-sponser shop familiar with fbodies. they claimed they tried rotating each section of pipe to try and get the best possible ground clearance. i even took a good look myself; theres no way you can make it better. i wouldnt say its a horrible with ground clearance, but if your lowered, your in for some problems.

pics are to come within the hour....

TSP catted y setup here....fitment sucks. Spend the money once and do it right. TSP's setup works, but for the $$$ your spending, it should fit better and simply doesn't.

pic one- as you can see, the exhaust only clears 2/3 of a soda can.

pic two- after the collector on the headers, the y pipe MUST make a 1 to 2 inch dip because of the design of the chassis.

i forgot to take a pic of this, but if you STAND 15 feet away from the car, you can actually see the y pipe slinging downwards

i was trying to go that route, but no one else makes a catted y that works with pacesetters.

Our TSP y-pipe has been redesigned. The pics shown are of our old design. We have changed over to a bullet-style cat that will allow for even better ground clearance, and the fitment has been improved upon as well. I've posted a few pics for everyone to check out. The new design is in stock and ready to ship!

Both designs will clear pretty good with a good install. Take your time putting it together before tightening the clamps & you'll have a nice tight install! The new cay y pipe has better clearance with our new high flow small diameter cat!

I took my Pacesetter Y pipe because of the pressed section and custom fabbed some cats in. I have not found a better clearing setup yet. I am eager to try the new texas speed though!
