Default What mufflers with a true dual system?

I'm planning on doing some pacesetters or jet-hot headers and I'm sure I'm going to go true duals but I was wondering what you guys are using for mufflers? I'd like something a bit louder at idle than what I have right now. Any suggestions? Also what X-pipe kit do you guys recommend?

Dr. Gas universal X pipe kit.

As for mufflers... I think you'll have plenty of choices. I'm biased towards bullets such as Moroso Spiral Flows or Flo Pro Twisters.

Currently I'm running Dynomax Race Bullets. But I have decided to install a new set of long tubes, and switch to a Spintech setup.

The bullets will dround out your stereo, trust me.

I don't think the bullets are too loud. I like my Dynomax Bullets.

Isn't that the setup on GM trucks?

If the Bassani does not have the X- characteristic junction incorporated into its design within the chamber, I don't think it would work as well. If it does have an X in there, you're on to something very, very interesting...

Magnaflow makes a muffler like this with a built-in x-style crossover.

On a truck stock? I don't think so. I have this setup on my car. There is no need for an x pipe because for 1 thing, the pipes are only about 3' long each before the muffler and the muffler is a single chamber design. Sounds like no other exhaust you've heard.

How loud are 1 chamber flows on a true dual system? And is anyone else running the husker x pipe instead of dr. gas' kit? (besides black_z of course)

Im not running the husker x, but I think of an X pipe as an X pipe just so they are both mandrel bent.

Oh and Tim... how loud and raspy is your exhaust exactly? This is my daily driver so it's gotta be something that's not unbearable

So, the attached is not what you're describing then. It's used for the Hummer H2. There's an X-Junction in there.
