Default Glue or replace a cracked lid?

Hi,

I noticed yesterday that I have a crack in the seem of my Direct Flow lid right at the MAF. 99% of the crack is over the MAF housing, however there is a very small portion of it that extends past the housing, so unfiltered air and minuscule debris could enter. I wrapped it in Electrical tape to get to work today, but I am wondering if I can glue the crack shut, and if so, what type of glue can I use? If glue is not a good option, is there any point to spending extra cash for TSP over a new Direct Flow?

Thanks!

Fred

Just use some plastic epoxy. They sell it at any auto parts store. My lid cracked and I just did that. As long as air doesn't get sucked in through the crack, it should be fine.

I just used duct tape in the inner part of my direct flo lid and it worked fine. I just ordered another direct flo for $75.00 new for my new car. Hopefully this one won't crack.

I would say some epoxy and fiberglass will fix it right up! Good as new

I ended up using epoxy on the crack. It did the job, but I have a new TSP lid on the way. Thanks for all the suggestions!
