Default Dumb question I bet

I'm working on my headers trying to install them. Doing it slowly but surely. It's probably a dumb question but what is that pipe that I have running off the exhaust manifold?

AIR injection pump? There should be one on each manifold and it pumps air in the exhaust manifold on start up to help heat up the Cat.s

those are some nice looking headers you have. you can completely take off the air pump and egr system. this will cause your ses light to come on and you will throw a few codes until you get it tuned out. but if you want to keep them you are gonna need to do some modifying to your headers because they are off road and they aren't compatible with either from what i saw in the pictures.
