Default Loud popping sound, but no misfire after exh gaskets

Ok, so about a week or two ago i started noticing that my car started an exhaust leak. I replaced the exhaust gaskets to my x pipe, and it turns out it was the gaskets on the headers to the engine, so i replaced those two nights ago with metal ones, so there would be less of a chance of them breaking. So i go to start the car and test it out for the exhaust leak, and now it has developed a popping sound, sounds like a backfire. It starts out slow and light, then as the engine keeps running, even at idle, the pops get louder and more frequent. I checked my plugs and wires to make sure they are nice and tight, and i plugged my HPtuners in to check and see if it could tell me anything and nothing came up. This is really bugging me and i only have so much skin left on my knuckles, so im dreading having to do all that again. Anyone have any thoughts or hypotheses? Id love to hear em. Thanks
