not sure if this is the right section for this...but i was driving home today and my check gauges light came on and i looked the cars temp was on 260 and raising... My car has the 160 degree t-stat and do u think something is wrong with it... because i pulled over sat for a minute then started and pulled out again it was still on 260 when i pulled out but i went about a quarter of a mile and then it just dropped back to 210 really fast.

could be sticking, sure. if its all back to normal though, your good. if it does that again, get a new one.

unless you have other stuff going on with your cooling system, stuck stat.
