Slp headers hang the lowest, theyre is plenty other headers out there to choose from and they all are the same gains basically. Longtube headers.. are long tube headers. Look at kooks, pacesetters, or something along common popular brands like those.

To answer your question, SLP headers have the absolute worst ground clearance of any LSX header EVER built. Decent headers, but they hang EXTREMELY low. It's not uncommon for people to have small skid plates welded on the bottom of them because they've taken such a beating.

Moving this to the proper section for you. The external section.

slp has a new designed header. i dont know if it fixes the ground clearance issue though. i have seen some pics of dome pretty dinged up primaries.

I have SLP LT's and MAC progressive lowering springs. There is literally like 2-3" of clearance. I'm getting ready to put them up for sale and get some Hooker supercomp's.

I have Pacesetter LTs with Sportlines and there's about 2-3 inches clearance from the ground. Since the springs' install, I've been very conscious about how I drive and what streets I take to avoid potholes!

I always felt like longtubes and lowering springs are like oil and vinegar. If you do go with longtubes try a 1" spring like the bmr.

Listen to these guys.......do NOT go slp long tube. They are the worst fitting most expensive header I have ever had. I am not going to get into a slp bash match here, but the way i see it is if they made, marketed and sold something like this, then they will never see another dime from me.

They way i see it, they should be sending out the supposed revised/ improved headers to all us dumb asses who bought the first version, and swapping them out at no charge.

Now I am gun shy of any long tube for the f body.

Now stepping down off the box.
