You can put Twanty-Fo's on the low output and Thurrty-Too's on the high output.

Kidding..

A 6.0L is a 6.0L. Get it.

Escalade 6.0L = LQ9
Silverado 6.0L = LQ4 (most of the time)

You can also find the LQ9's in the Silverado also... the LQ9 is about 20 to 40 HP over the LQ4 (depending on which year). Has flat top pistons for higher compression, some of the earlier LQ4 had iron heads.

about a point more compression, floating wrist pins (although most 2006-up 6.0's all seem to have floating pins now), and the cam is a wider LSA than the LQ4. But your probably ditching the cam anyways....so pretty much just a compression difference due to pistons.

Some have a LQ4 and some have a LQ9, just depends on what vehicle it comes in.

LQ4 has dished pistons and runs somewhere around 9.5:1
LQ9 has flat top pistons and runs somewhere around 10.4:1

Correct me if I'm wrong i think that's what i saw on the compression test.

And i think the 04 and up LQ4 got the same connecting rods as an LQ9 which are stronger.
