Default EGR Questions

So I have race style headers and I still have my egr on my car although it is not hooked up. So do I just unplug it and unbolt it or what? And what do you do with the connector then?

Yes, unplug it and unbolt it off the head. Plug the hole in the intake manifold with a 1 3/8" plug or go to something without the EGR provision. Just wrap up the plug in the wiring harness and leave it be (it does make a good inlet for a wideband, though). Tune your codes out and you're good to go.

You can use a rubber freeze plug.

^^^ yes but be VERY careful putting it in. You can't overtighten it or you risk cracking the plastic around the EGR on the intake. Also you can't undertighten it or the plug will be pushed out. I've seen block off plates that have a depression and gasket that fit inside the hole. Looks better than the rubber freeze plug.
