need help with a line off the manifold
hey guys, lately my car has been running like crap, and today i got around to looking at it. It was throwing a p0106 code which is MAP. I started looking behind the manifold and found a line in the back of the intake with a large hole in it, nearly split in half. i attached a pic with a square box around the line. could this be my problem? if so does anyone have a part number, or know if this can be fixed any other way? i honestly do not know what its for, and yes i am a noob at LS1s more or less. thanks for any input guys.
Note: i got this pic off tech and the numbered ones are the sensors.

5= map sensor
line with ? is your pcv lines and it has nothing to do with you map code, but you should fix it because it is considered a vacuum leak with the way these cars have the pcv system

I recently had a split in a PCV line. Car idled rough and eventually threw a code - I forget which one at the moment. It also would ping sometimes under light load. Just pick up some 3/8" fuel line from any parts store and replace all the pieces. Here is a nice pic of the stock PCV setup on an LS1 f-bod (got it from ls1howto here: http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=18)

This may help:

If you are running with a vacuum leak you will have a higher idle than normal. I would replace the line that has the split in it and see if the condition persists. Also, if you've done any work on the car recently go back over your work and check to make sure everything is plugged in, fully bolted down, etc. Good luck

To add to tripblackls1,
#1 - Knock Sensor Plug
#4 - Vacuum port for HVAC controls. There should be a line hooked up here that runs up from the firewall. The other line that is running to your driver's side valve cover is for the AIR system.

Hate to break in but on #4 theres a spot like stated for 2 vacuum lines. 1 for the hvac controls and the second for AIR. i have just pulled the AIR off my car and capped the vaccum at the back of the intake and removed the sensor over by the driver side intake is this ok??
