SLP y-pipe question

I dont thin it will work, I think the '02 exhaust manifolds had a diffent design to them, same as the cats. My buddy has an SLP Y for his '99 but is not using it and said it will only work for '98-'99 cars. Not sure why though, I'm sure it has to do with the bends and design. I'm just thinking out loud but you probably wont be able to use the '02 Y on your stock '98 manifolds and cats....hopefully someone else will elaborate.
If you're interested, my buddy isn't using his Y and will let it go for cheap.
