Default 2000 TA automatic convertable and Y-pipe

Good Evening,

I will be replacing my stock 2000 A4 WS6 exhaust with a Magnaflow15684 cat back and I was wondering is there a emmissions legal y-pipe that would work on a convertable?

I know the SLP y-pipe says it won't work with an automatic convertiable. I was wondering if anyone knew of a different one. I am not interested at the moment in messing with the emmissions stuff.

Also does anyone know what the flow rate was for a stock WS6 exhaust? I saw the magnaflow had a 1200 CFM rating per this thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-f...t-add-h-p.html

the slp y pipe will fit fine you just have to remove the x brace from under the car and leave it off.

Catback alone isn't worth anything but the sound IMHO. LT's and ORY FTMW

Default Leave the X-brace off?

What is the x-brace there for? I do have 3 point subframe connectors installed but those are further back on the car.

Default X-brace off for y-pipe

Has anyone else taken their x-brace off to put on a y-pipe?
